<p>The composite assymetric panel is made up of two to four layers (2,3,4) fixed to partitions to improve heat and noise insulation. The panels are installed using mountings (1,5) shaped to suit the assymetry of the layers and nails (7). The mountings (1,5) are protected by the panels themselves and are received in part by recesses (9) in the edges of the layer (4). The central layer (3) is made of expanded polystyrene. The panels fit together to conceal the mountings and form a continuous outer surface which is suitable as a base for plaster.</p> |
