The present invention concerns an arrangement for breaking up scraps, such as lathe shavings and the like, containing two axles 13, 14 parallel to each other, driven in opposite directions of rotation, which have disk-shaped blades 16, 17, of which the blades of one axle bite into the space between the blades of the other axle, and also a blade housing 19 with an inlet opening 22 and an outlet opening 23 and in which the axles carrying the blades are arranged, and which has two outer walls 24, 26 essentially parallel to the axles. In order to design a crushing arrangement of the kind mentioned above, such that the crushing arrangement is guaranteed to run as free as possible from standstill because unmanageable pieces are taken away in mechanical fashion, the crushing arrangement is characterised in that wiping fingers 43 are arranged between the blades 16, 17 of the two axles 13, 14 within the peripheral regions at the outer walls 24, 25, which fingers have a wiping end 44 situated at short distance from the axle, and whose top side facing the inlet opening 22 is configured as a sliding surface 46 sloping in the direction of the blade housing 19 or outer wall, and the blade housing has bypass openings 27, 28 at either side of the slide surface region. <IMAGE> |
