The rotor for a rotary-wing aircraft has a separate link connecting blade and head, transmitting longitudinal loads from the blade whilst permitting it to tilt about its axis. This link (80) is a multi-layer disc of synthetic fibre embodying an aperture (80.1) for the load transmitting connector (44). It has at least two "outer" layers (80.2) each with an endless fibre loop (81) enclosing both blade root abutment- (44.4) and connection- (46.1) zones flanking "inner"layers (80.3) with a fibre-loop core (82) winding around the connection zone and extending beyond the abutment zone. Each pair of layers is jointly bonded to a transverse-fibre intermediate layer (80.4).
