The strip connector for switching units has a cut-out on the side of the insulator for an insulating partition to be inserted. This secures the adjacent connector terminals against creep and air leakages. The design eliminates the risk of partition drop-out in the course of jerks or when roughly handling the connector strip as can take place during cleaning. The extraction of the partition can take place only when using a tool, such as a screwdriver. The connectors are mounted on a carrier and held by bridges with spacers allowing the insertion of partitions secured by a cover plate and resilient hooks.
