PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a cell as well as increase the resistance to liquid leakage by flattening substantially the periphery of cathode terminal and also by uniting a part or all of the flattened portion preliminarily with a gasket using a sheet-like adhesive to one body. CONSTITUTION:The molding pressure P of the anode can 203 is received at the outside 204 of the cover, and also cathode material is designed to have the highest compressive strength. Also, the deformation of the gasket is designed to be maximum at the outside 204 of the cover, whereby increasing the resistance to liquid leakage.
