PURPOSE:To obtain a clean casting slab without any surface flaw and internal defect, by arranging as dispersing plural rods at vortex occurrence part near a submerged nozzle, by which supplies molten steel into a mold and restraining enclosure of powder by the vortex, which is occurrence by the molten steel flow. CONSTITUTION:At the time of executing continuous casting by supplying the molten steel 3' into the mold 6 from the submerged nozzle 4 fitted to a tundish, the plural rods 14 are arranged as dispersing at the vortex occurrence part 13 near the nozzle 4. Thus, the enclosure of the powder 4 by the vortex, which is occured by inversion flow 9 of the molten steel 3' is reduced. Then, the above- mentioned rod 14 uses a refractory, which is difficult to melt, even if it is submerged in the molten steel 3', In this way, the high clean casting slag without any surface flaw and internal defect is obtd.
