PURPOSE:To increase the writing velocity of the information by giving the multi- frequency driving to the acoustic optical element and then writing the information into the magnetic thin film via plural light beams. CONSTITUTION:The carriers of different frequencies delivered from oscillators 16-20 are modulated through modulators 23-27 and according to signals 1-5 to give the multi-frequency driving to acoustic optical element 13 via mixer 21. Thus the laser beams applied to element 13 are changed into zero-order interference light I0 and primary interference light I10-I15 which received the intensity modulation according to signals 1-5 and then divided according to the carrier frequency, and then the information of signals 1-5 are recorded simultaneously on magnetic thin film 14. The zero-order interference light, however, does not reach film 14 because it is blocked by knife edge 28. As a result, the writing speed is increased through the simultaneous writing, thus enabling the quick process for a large amount of information. |
