The vehicle (1) has a device for loading and unloading the prefabricated garages (23), which device consists of a jib (13) which is mounted near to the driver's cab (10) on an auxiliary frame (6) and has an extension arm (16) and two telescopic sections (17, 18), and of a lifting device (20) which is arranged at the end of the outermost telescopic section (18). By means of the lifting device (20), the prefabricated garage (23) is lifted off from the ground to the level of the auxiliary frame (6) in order to be subsequently lowered onto the auxiliary frame (6) after the retraction of the telescopic sections (17, 18). At the outer end of the last but one telescopic section (17), a support roller (25) which rests on the auxiliary frame (6) is arranged, which roller (25) can be moved out of the support position into a position of rest in which it clears the space between this telescopic section (17) and the auxiliary frame (6). <IMAGE>
