PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of the title fabric, by laminating non-woven fabrics from acrylic fibers modified with an acidic solution of hydroxylamine to form a multilayered non-woven fabric of specific construction, which is flameproofed and carbonized. CONSTITUTION:Two or more non-woven fabrics comprising acrylic fibers having a fineness per fiber <=5de, which are treated with a solution of hydroxylamine at pH<=7 to give a solubility in dimethylformamide <=50%, are laminated and needled to form a multilayered non-woven fabric having a basis weight >=50g/m<2> and a peel strength of 2-30kg/cm. The fabric thus obtained is flameproofed, or further carbonized and divided into two or more parts or flameproofed at 150 deg.C or above and divided into two or more parts, and carbonized to form the objective non-woven fabric. EFFECT:Different grades can be obtained simultaneously. USE:Heat insulating materials, packings, etc. |
