A machine for manufacturing spiral seam welded tube consists of a framework which supports two rows of rollers. These rollers press against the outside of the tube as it is being formed whilst a third set of rollers press against the internal surface. These internal rollers are mounted on a beam suspended from a toggle linkage with a central link. The central link can be moved by two jacks so that the required force can be exerted on the rollers and also, when adjustments are required, the rollers can be raised clear of the workpiece.
