PURPOSE:To coat products efficiently and safely by converting an electrically conductive coating into fine particles owing to the centrifugal force of a rotary device; simultaneously dispersing the particles outward; electrifying them with corona electrodes set around the device; and attaching the charged particles to the products. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive coating such as metallic paint or water paint fed through coating feed hose 7 is converted into fine particles owing to the centrifugal force of rotary disk 1 and dispersed outward along a flat disklike orbit. During the orbit the particles are electrified with many corona electrodes 2 set circularly and applied with a high voltage by means of high voltage generator 6, and the charged particles are attached to products 8 to be coated. Since disk 1 is completely isolated from electrodes 2, it is never short-circuited. The flat disklike orbit controls adhesion of the particles to electrodes 2, and electrodes 2 can be allowed to approach the orbit, so products 8 is coated with high safety and efficiency. |
