Safety control for drawbar coupling bolt - uses flanged sprung load-bearing bolt and incorporates sprung safety bolt

The drawbar coupling jaw has a vertically sprung securing bolt (17) held in the locked position by a cam (8) attached to a hand control lever (7). The cam has stepped edges (9) to lock into the top edge of the bolt to hold it in the ready position for automatic coupling. The stepped cam allows the control lever to be moved past the ready position to a locked open position from where it cannot be tripped into the locked position, unless released by the hand lever.
