1370815 Alcohol-containing matter SATO SHOKUHIN KOGYO KK 17 Dec 1971 [18 Dec 1970] 58819/71 Heading A2B Alcohol-containing solid matter is manufactured by (a) preparing a mixture comprising alcohol, water and a water-soluble material, said material being alcohol-insoluble, and (b) spray-drying said mixture to remove water and obtain solidified water-soluble alcohol-containing material. The water-soluble material may be gelatine and/or a modified starch such as starch - convertedsyrups, starch - converted powder, dextrin, oxidised starch, esterified starch or etherified starch. The alcohol may be used in the form of an alcoholic beverage such as a wine or spirit. The end product may be used as a confection, or flavour additive for foodstuffs, or when redissolved, as a drink. |
