<p>The actuator for operating a piezoelectric burner igniter comprises a circular disc (2) on a shaft (1), carrying a triangular slot cam (4). One leg (10) of this follows the disc circumference, another is radial (8) and the third is concave relative to the disc. A follower (12) in the end of a pivoted (13) arm is forced into thhis leg (5) by a gate (22) when the disc is turned anti-clockwise, causing a cam (14) on the arm pivot pin to compress a piezoelectric capsule (18). When the disc rotation brings the follower to the radial leg this pressure is rapidly released.</p> |
