PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size delay unit which can increase the delay time without lowering the transmission quality by using the microwave filter which varies the band width to vary the band width of the filter and thus performing the variable control for the delay time. CONSTITUTION:Microwave filter 1 is used to vary the band width of the microwave, and the band width is limited to cause the phase rotation. Thus, absolute delay time which is reversely proportional to the band width owing to the secondary component of the phase frequency characteristics is obtained. Filter 1 of such constitution is turned to the reflective filter, and compensator 10 comprising the 2-step filter of close connection is connected to the output side of circulator 2 combined to filter 1. Thus, the deterioration of the frequency characteristics can be compensated for the delay time which is caused when the delay time is increased. |
