Collecting chimney with flue section assembled smoke ducts - has horizontal movable stiffeners between centre column and tower structure

A reinforced-concrete tower structure in the collector chimney, holds two or more smoke ducts, which are structurally non-functional, assembled from smoke flue sections. At its centre the tower structure (1) has a bend-resistant central support (4), stabilised against bending by horizontal stiffeners (5), displaceable on one side in their mountings (6), set between the support and tower structure. These serve also as storey load bearing structures for the flue sections (3) which are set on them. Heat stresses are absorbed without further precautions, and channels can be assembled from sections with no static functions.
