The 2-alkoxy-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrans of the formula I are prepared by reaction of correspondingly 2,3-substituted acrolein with an appropriate vinyl ether. R1 and R2 are identical or different and denote a phenyl group which is optionally substituted one or more times, or a heterocyclic radical, and R3 is a lower alkyl group. The compounds have antiviral activity, especially against influenza viruses. <IMAGE>
