<p>Prodn. of plates for the collection of solar energy, such as, by indenting a meandering profile into two plates which are then fastened together to form a sinuous channel for the fluid to be heated, is described in the parent patent. In the addn., to seal the two plates round their edges and to form ribs for the separation of the separate sections of the channel from each other, welded seams are formed, and between the lines of attachment, the plates are inflated by means of fluid pressure. In the zones between the seams, spot welding is applied in the direction of flow at points one behind the other.</p> |
