A slide fastener comprises two continuous link rows made of a string of plastic material in the form of a flattened helical spring or U- shaped meander, where the individual convolutions comprise a coupling projection 3, formed by widening the string in a longitudinal direction, at the end of the legs 5, 6 which themselves are joined by arcuate sections 9. One or two impressions 11, 12 are spacedly made in each of the legs 5, 6 so as to face towards the other leg (and oppose the second impression, if present) so as to receive projections 3, 4 of the other row of links in such a way as to prevent tilting of the joined fastener about its central longitudinal axis. A second embodiment (see Fig. 6) prefers an impression 24 on the opposite side of the leg 6 to the receiving impression 12 in which means to secure the fastener to backing cloth 15 can be attached. |
