<p>PURPOSE:To surely preserve a cell sequence in simple hardware constitution by temporarily accumulating the cell into a buffer after a path is switched until the cell before path switching is outputted previous to the cell after the path is switched. CONSTITUTION:When cells C1 to C10 are inputted from an input line 2-1 and sent through an ATM converting network 1 to a desired output line 3-1, if the path is switched between the cells C5 and C6, a marking 'L' indicating an end is added to the cell C5 immediately before the path is switched by a marking device 5, and the cells C1 to C5 are inputted to the ATM exchange network 1 as they are, on the other hand, the cells C6 to C10 are temporarily accumulated in an input buffer 4. By detecting the marking 'L' of the cell C5 by a marking detecting device 6, when it is confirmed that the cells C1 to C5 before the path is switched are outputted previous to the cells C6 to C10 after the path is switched, the cells C6 to C10 are sent to the ATM exchange network, then outputted to the desired output line 3-1.</p> |
