Metal strip cutter and stacker - has stationary shears and vacuum or magnetically operated stacking mechanism

The shears (3) for the arrangement are mounted immediately next to the stacking mechanism (5). A strip of sheet metal is fed by a drive roller system in between the shears towards the stacking mechanism till the required length protrudes from the shears. The sheet which protrudes from the shears is supported by a transport system (4), which is mounted immediately behind the shears. Magnets (6) or suction pads hold the material at the bottom side of the transport arrangement. The magnets are operated at the same time as the drive rollers for the sheet. When the drive rollers and the transporter are at rest, the shears are operated.
