The working platform (10, 11) is fastened on the upright (1) of the ladder (1, 2, 3) by means of a platform holder (4). The platform holder (4) has sections (4a), the spacing of which corresponds to the width of the upright of the ladder and which are screwed or riveted to the upright (1). The working platform (10, 11) is connected to the platform holder (4) by a hinge articulation connection (7) and can be pivoted into a horizontal position, in which it rests on a ladder rung (2), and into a position, in which it exposes the front side of the ladder. The platform (10, 11) has approximately the size of two shoe impressions. In the horizontal position, the platform (10, 11) makes possible safe standing on the ladder (1, 2, 3) for carrying out inspection work or the like. <IMAGE>
