<p>1387218 Spraying apparatus INVOLVO AG 5 March 1973 [22 March 1972] 10501/73 Heading B2L [Also in Division Fl] Apparatus for dispensing heated glue from a storage container which passes through a passageway 6 to a chamber in the gun comprises a rod 16 driven by a pneumatic piston and cylinder 11, 12, the rod 16 having a piston 15 slidable thereon the arrangement being such that as the piston 15 rises with the rod 16 glue passes through channels 22 in the piston to a lower chamber 23 and as the rod 16 descends a tapered end 21 thereon closes the upper opening to these channels and the glue which has passed to chamber 23 is ejected by the increasing pressure past a one way valve 17 through a nozzle 18. Heaters 4 and 8 melt the adhesive. In a modification (not shown) at its lower position the piston acts directly on the valve in the nozzle to push it against a lower sealing against the action of a spring so that outflow of liquid glue receives a sharp cut-off.</p> |
