The conductor system is primarily intended for h.f. high power circuits in which coaxial parallel feeds are required, e.g. to individual radiating elements in an aerial array. The conductor consists of a solid metal plate into which the required conductor pattern is machined in the form of rectangular section grooves. This is the outer conductor. The inner conductor is similarly machined from a single piece of matching shape, and dimensioned to give the correct clearances. The inner conductor is spaced from the outer one by insulation inserts. The circuit is then closed with a flat plate which completes the conductor.
