The pen holder maintains pens filled with ink moist and ready for use. The pen cap (2) snaps into engagement with and pivots in a mounting angle-piece (5), which also accommodates and supports the dust-protective sleeve. Its base can be locked into engagement with a groove in a baseplate. The sleeve acts as a packing, being equipped with bearing trunnions for permanent use, engaging in the drillings of the angle-piece and acting as pivot mountings. The angle-piece is arranged to spring apart on insertion of the pen cap, clamping its base into engagement with the baseplate groove in the process, so that it can be secured in any desired position.
