In order to reduce in a simple manner heat losses as well as material and operating costs, a layer of the insulating jacket in that region of the equipment surface (2) which contains the connection stubs (14) consists of at least one insulating mat (3). This has through-holes whose arrangement corresponds to that of the connection stubs (14) and whose diameter is slightly smaller than the diameter of the associated connection stubs (14). In the insulating mat (3) there are incisions emanating from the perimeters of the through-holes. The insulating mat (3) which is not covered by sheet-metal parts (8) of the casing is pressed, at least in the region of its peripheral edges (5), against the equipment surface (2) by means of narrow-edged strips (6). <IMAGE>
