The multiple action oscillating ram system is used for driving piles or sheet piling. The ram system generates oscillations with different or reversed phases. The arrangement has a number of rams arranged in parallel. The phases can be shifted for driving and for extraction of piles. The parallel connected rams are driven to generate oscillations with different or reversed phases. The oscillations transmitted through the ground between columns or sheet piling wall elements are mutually eliminated which considerably reduces the area over which oscillations are transmitted. The ram assemblies with drives and oscillation generators are suspended by springs on a frame.
