<p>1496091 Portable stoves H L PENBERTHY 20 March 1975 [26 April 1974] 11712/75 Heading F4W A portable liquid fuel stove 10 comprises a burner assembly 12, a liquid fuel container 14, a fuel pipe 18 and a combined air pump and fuel control valve 16 mounted adjacent the neck of the fuel container 14. The burner includes a body 20, support wires 22, a burner cup 24 with side apertures 26, a flame spreader 28 and a sparker 37. The air pump comprises a piston 38, 40 mounted within a cylinder 32 having an externally-disposed handle 42 for reciprocating the piston rod to force air through an end aperture 44 in the cylinder 32. Liquid fuel, under pressure, is forced through a tube 73 and inlet conduit 58 into a bore 60 and an outlet conduit 64. The conduit 64 is in communication with the fuel pipe 18. A control valve 76 having an operating handle 74 is able to control the flow of the liquid fuel passing through the bore 60. The fuel pipe 18 is connected to the housing structure containing the combined air pump and control valve by a clip 94, which is pivotably hinged to a block 90 integral with the fuel pipe and engages a recess 100 in the housing.</p> |
