Decorative pattern for wall or floor tiles - has symmetric individual tiles to permit variation of large scale design

The decorative pattern can be applied to any wall or floor tile made of plastic ceramic, glass or wood. The pattern consists of eight irregular lines running at roughly 45 deg. to the edges of the square tile (1). The lines of the pattern are so arranged that each end of the line intersects the tile edge at equal distances from the corners. The distances (2, 3) are all equal as are other symmetric distances (6). This allows the overall pattern to take the form of continuous but irregular diagonal lines, or of a series of squares or a combination of both types of pattern.
