The storage container is for measuring heads or sampler devices used once only and fitting on a dipstick-type probe, having an opening through which the devices are dispensed one by one. In the container is a dispensing mechanism with two or more driving discs on a rotary spindle. These have recesses in the periphery to accommodate the devices, the recesses in the discs being in line with each other. A catcher fork can be mounted in front of an opening and arranged to tilt, and also a guide between the dispensing mechanism and a fork, delivering the devices properly aligned.
