1324115 Projection systems LAMSON PARAGON Ltd 6 Oct 1971 [14 Oct 1970] 48850/70 Headings G2A and G2J An optical projection system as shown, for a photo-composing machine, comprises a light source 4, a part ellipsoidal mirror 1, a lens 5, a first holder to receive matter to be photocompared, and a second holder to receive sensitized material on to which the matter to be photocomposed is to be projected the first and second holders being located at the object and image distances respectively from the lens, the light source being located at one effective focal point of the mirror 1, and the lens at the other. A movable mirror 9 is provided for reflecting an image of the object on to a viewing screen 7a. An image of a sheet 11 is also projected on to the screen 7a, via a lens 12 and semi-reflecting mirror 10. These two images are aligned by moving the object. The mirror 9 is then removed and an exposure is made. The mirror 9 may be replaced by a fixed semi-reflector. |
