<p>1529761 Disc brakes; actuating mechanisms FIAT TRATTORI SpA 9 Jan 1976 [31 Jan 1975] 00865/76 Heading F2E [Also in Division B7] A parking and emergency brake for an agricultural tractor vehicle comprises a caliper 4 supported by a wall 3 of a transmission housing of the vehicle, the caliper 4 carrying a fixed reaction element 5 and a movable element 6 between which is mounted at least one disc 2 mounted for axial movement on a splined sleeve la fixed to a transmission shaft 1 of the vehicle, the movable element 6 of the caliper 4 being movable by a cam 7 carried on a shaft 8 transverse to the shaft 1, the shaft 8 being rotatable to move element 6 and clamp the disc(s) 2 between elements 5, 6. As shown, the shaft 8 is rotatable by operation of a manual lever 10 which is connected to a shaft 8 via a rod 11 and a lever 9.</p> |
