<p>The bed comprises a sprung, foam or latex mattress (1) on a thin sprung frame (2). The frame is rectangular with round, square or rectangular metal tubes (2a) tensioned by springs. A chipboard, plywood, or fibreboard panel (2b) rests on top of the base frame. A lower box is accessible from the long sides by lifting up the frame and turning it on two bearings open at the top and fixed to the box (3). The mattress (1) is fixed to the base frame (2) by interconnecting (4a,4b) strips in the centre. The box is a rectangular parallelogram reinforced inside by two transverse partitions (5a,b,c). A reinforcement (7) has a light incorporated in it.</p> |
