摘要

Liq. crystal compsn. consists of (1) 5-8 mol. % of 4-cyano-4"-n-pentylterphebyl or 4-cyano-4"-n-hexylterphebyl (2) 35-45 mol. % of 4-cyano-4'-n-pentylbiphenyl and 17-24 mol. % of 4-cyano-4'-n-heptylbipheny and (3) 25-38 mol. % of sum of > three of 4-cyano-4'-n-alkoxybiphenyls with 3-8C n-alkoxy radicals (6-13 mol. % for each ingredient). The compsn. is stable against water, air, light, heat, etc. and can keep nematic structure over a wide range.
