<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for determining an effective usable section of ticket by which whether a getting-on station and a getting-off station exist in an effective usable section or not is determined even when a travelling route is changed after issuing a commuter pass. <P>SOLUTION: When a station for connection is newly set after issuing the commuter pass, station information (station code) for permitting connection is stored in a freely removable memory card before starting travelling. In travelling, the memory card is inserted to the device for determining the effective usable section of ticket, and station information (station code) stored in the memory card is stored in a work memory so as to be readable.
