PURPOSE:To prevent the staine of the photosensitive body of the screen, by detecting the stained condition of a recording member with a member of a slow speed which is installed to the down stream side of a cleaning section and contated with the recording member. CONSTITUTION:Members 52-56 at the electric current side in a cleaning section 37 are a cleaning insufficiency detecting device, and composed of a web member 53, holding reels 52 and 55, spongy roll 53 which presses the web 53 against the surface of a recording member 32, and reflection type optical detector 56. The web 53 moves at speeds which are one several tenth to one several hundredth of the surface speed of the recording member 32. When insufficient cleaning occurs, an insufficiently cleaned line of about 100-200mum on the member 32 becomes a line of about 1mm. on the web 53, because a toner deposit is formed at the contact due to the speed difference, and the line on the web 53 can be detected easily and surely by an optical detector 56. |
