There is provided a therapy for lowering the blood levels of a lipid selected
from the group comprising LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, overall cholesterol
and mixtures thereof, the therapy comprising the step of administering an
effective amount of one or more phosphate derivatives of one or more electron
transfer agents.
