PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse pIgR/SC by establishing a stable hybridoma in order to analyze an expression mechanism or a structure of a polymeric immunoglobulin antibody receptor/secretory component (pIgR/SC) molecule.

SOLUTION: This monoclonal antibody is capable of recognizing the secretory component of a secretory IgA which binds to a fusion protein (GST-SC fusion protein) of a glutathione transferase (GST) to the secretory component of the secretory IgA without binding to the GST.
