<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative dispersion mirror which can generate large negative group-velocity dispersion and can be used as an output mirror of a solid-state laser apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In a mirror 5 including a dielectric multilayer coating structure 7 formed on a substrate 6, the multilayer coating structure includes three or more mirror-function layer portions ML<SB>1</SB>, ML<SB>2</SB>, ..., each formed by a plurality of layers deposited one on another, and cavity layers C1, C2, ..., that are arranged between the two mirror-function layer portions, and causes light having a predetermined wavelength to resonate between the two mirror-function layer portions. Further, a dispersion value with respect to the light L having the predetermined wavelength is in the range of -600 fs<SP>2</SP>to -3000 fs<SP>2</SP>and a reflectance is in the range of 97 to 99.5%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
