<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharged air treatment device which enhances the deodorization efficiency and which is capable of sufficiently assuring the purification function of discharged air. <P>SOLUTION: In the discharged air treatment device 11, soot is removed from the discharged air by bringing the discharged air into contact with water by the removal means. Odorous ingredients included in the discharged air that the soot has been removed is decomposed and deodorized by a photocatalyst filter 51 arranged at the post-stage of the removal means. In the removal means, the discharged air becomes a sufficiently cooled state when the discharged air flows through the photocatalyst filter arranged at the post-stage of the removal means because the discharged air is brought into contact with the liquid membrane formed through the retention on water W with a misted state jetted from a water spraying nozzle 21, a first screen member 23 and a second screen member 25.
