Shaft valve for internal combustion engines with sprung bearing upper section and metal sealing shells

In a valve, especially for internal combustion engines, it is proposed, in order to obtain a low-wear design which is as simple as possible, that it comprises a shaft arranged above the cylinder head, co-ordinated and rotating with the main shaft and having transverse and possibly longitudinal bores bearing tightly on the cylinder head on one side and on inlet and exhaust ports on the other and alternately coinciding with an opening in the cylinder head and the inlet and exhaust openings.
