PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation system capable of cutting out traveling route data desired by the user from among many and unspecified vehicles, and ensuring confidentiality to the owner of the traveling route data. SOLUTION: When own vehicle does not have pertinent data (S84, No) on a traveling route data retrieval request from another vehicle (S81), retrieval is transferred to another vehicle (S841). Hereby, traveling route data are relayed and accumulated between many vehicles, thereby the traveling route data are held in common, between many and unspecified vehicles. Consequently, belonging of the traveling route data to which vehicle acquired of the data through traveling is obscured essentially, to thereby secure confidentiality to the owner of the traveling route data.
