PURPOSE:To correct colors with high precision and a high degree of freedom by using small memory capacity by deciding whether or not a signal of each component of a color video signal is an object of color correction and correcting the colors of respective color components when all the color components are objects of color correction. CONSTITUTION:Look-up tables 11-13 output signals showing whether or not respective chrominance components are object signals of color correction. An AND circuit 14 decides whether or not all of the outputs of the look-up tables 11-13 match one another. Look-up tables 15-17 output color correction quantities corresponding to the chrominance components according to the output of the AND circuit 14. Then adding circuits 18-20 add the color correction quantities to plural chrominance components, component by component. Consequently, only specific colors can be corrected or generated without using a large-capacity memory under three-dimensional control as the look-up tables. |
