PURPOSE:To enable constant and high performance heat collection by a structure wherein a plurality of units of recuperator for heating a matter to be heated by utilizing the exhaust gas of a heat equipment and the number of units to be actually operated is adjusted in accordance with a change in the load of the heat equipment. CONSTITUTION:In a heating furnace of the type wherein a steel piece fed from a feeding side 8 is transferred successively to a preheating zone 2' and another preheating zone 2, and taken out from a take-out side 9, the recuperator 3 comprising a plurality of recuperator units 3' is installed in an exhaust gas passage 4. An open-close shutter 6 is provided on the front and back sides of the respective units 3' and an open-close valve 7 is provided at an inlet-outlet port of a preheated passage 5 connected to the respective units 3'. The amount of the exhaust gas which varies according to the variation of the preset temperature of the respective zone of the heating furnace 1, for example, the amount decreased as the temperature drops, is predicted by detecting the flow rate of fuel and combustion air, and on the base of the predicted results, the open-close shutter 6 is controlled so as to adjust the number of the units 3' to be actually operated. |
