PURPOSE:To lower the consumption of electric power, by preparing heavy media containing, as a major constituent, Fe2O2 obtained from fly ash caught at an electrostatic precipitator attached to a fine powder coal burning boiler, and transporting through a pipe the slurry of the heavy media and coarse powder coal. CONSTITUTION:From Fe2O3 fly ash, heavy media having prescribed specific gravity and viscosity is prepared in a heavy media preparing tank, and then coarse coal/heavy media slurry is prepared in a coarse coal slurry preparing tank 8. This slurry 10 is pumped by a coarse coal slurry pump 9 to a power plant. In the power plant, first, large blocks 11A of coal are removed by a screen 1, and then fine particles 11B of coal are separated by a centrifugal separator 2. The fly ash produced by burning the coal is mixed with the heavy media in a fly ash slurry preparing tank 3, and the heavy media/fly ash slurry is pumped through a fly ash slurry pump 4 to a coal mine or coal center. |
