PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag system which has a simple and inexpensive structure, whose operation is positive and which can be stored compactly in a vehicle body. SOLUTION: A flexible tubular bag body 6 is folded partially to form an outer-tube part 10 and an inner-tube part 11, which extends from the end of the outer-tube 10 to be connected to one connecting part and the outer-tube 10 is connected to the other connecting part. A gas supplying means 15 is mounted on the inner-tube 11 and an air vent 13 is formed in the position in which the inner-tube 11 is covered with the outer-tube 10. The gas supplied from the gas supplying means 15 is supplied to a space 14 between the inner- tube 11 and the outer-tube 10, which is inflated by the pressure of the gas, and the part of the inner-tube 11 of the tubular bag body 6 is reversed to the outer-tube 10 at a folded part 9 to shorten the overall length. |
