PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition that can reduce face skin-stiffening after use, as the sufficient foaming force is maintained with excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The objective detergent composition comprises (A) a salt of fatty acid of 12 or more carbon atoms, (B) an N-acyl methyl taurate salt, (C) a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, (D) monoglycerol fatty acid ester wherein the weight ratio of component (B)/component (C) is <=1.2.
