A plasma display apparatus is provided to improve image sticking while maintaining brightness of images displayed in a panel by adjusting a sustain pulse applied to sustain electrodes during a sustain period. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel having sustain electrodes and a driver. The driver supplies sustain pulses having at least two different types to the sustain electrodes during a sustain period in which images are displayed. The sustain electrodes include first and second electrodes, which are formed in parallel with each other. The sustain pulse includes a voltage rise time, a voltage sustain time, and a voltage fall time. One type of the at least two types is supplied to the second electrodes before a voltage fall time.
