The present invention provides a power-saving method for a vending machine capable of minimizing the power consumption while preventing a downturn in sales by satisfying a desirable sale volume when installing and operating multiple vending machines at an identical location and a vending machine system using the same. The power-saving method for a vending machine includes: a step of predicting time-based product sale volumes of the multiple vending machines installed in the same location; a step of calculating the power consumption and product stocks of each vending machine; a step of receiving a power-saving scenario including time-based information about the vending machine which a power supply is to be cut off and time-based information about the vending machine which power is supplied based on the time-based product sale volumes, power consumption, and product stocks; and a step of supplying or cutting off the power supply to the vending machine per hour corresponding to the information of the energy-saving scenario.
