PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device of a passenger conveyor without incorrectly detecting that a portion of the body of a passenger in the immediate vicinity of an inner side of a moving handrail part is a hand or without taking time and effort to perform installation and adjustment of a sensor.SOLUTION: An alarm device of a passenger conveyor includes: human detection sensor parts 5a, 5b comprising sensors arranged at immovable stationary parts of the passenger conveyor and detecting a passenger on a step 1 in the vicinity of handrails 4a, 4b of the passenger conveyor; handrail gripping detection sensor parts 7a, 7b comprising sensors arranged at immovable stationary parts of the passenger conveyor at outer sides the handrails 4a, 4b and detecting the gripping of the handrails 4a, 4b by the passenger; and a determination part 10 outputting an alarm signal by determining that the passenger on the step 1 does not grip the handrail on the basis of the human detection sensor parts 5a, 5b and the handrail gripping detection part sensor parts 7a, 7b. |
